Re-Cover
Below you will find a series of book covers taken from the 1965 New York Times Best Sellers list.
Your challenge will be to re-design and update one of these covers to reflect the artistic and design sensibilities of 2019--not 1965.
In order to complete the re-design, you will need to know something about the book. You are not required to read the entire book, but you should search the Internet for a *synopsis that outlines the content of the book.
1) Select one of the book covers from those shown below to update.
2) Identify the qualities of the original book cover that appear outdated or unseemly. Consider the images, color, typography and layout. Post your conclusions on your Blog.
3) *Research the content of the book. Bear in mind the historical context in which it was written.
4) Re-design the cover you selected to reflect a contemporary design aesthetic. Be prepared to defend your design decisions in a critique.

Example: This is the original cover design for the Harper Lee's novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Below it are several updated re-designs that were used over the life of the book's many re-issues.
